    Default Appetizers

    These are really good!

    Baked Spinach and Feta Dip
1 cup Hellmann's Real or Light Mayonnaise
    2 cups sour cream
1 pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 pkg Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix
    3 green onions, sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C). In 1 1/2 -quart (6 cup) casserole dish, combine all the ingredients. Bake 35 minutes or until heated through. Serve with pita chips or any other of your favourite dippers.

    Red Pepper Dip
1 jar (313g) roasted red peppers, drained and chopped fine
1 cup (250 mL) sour cream
1 cup (250 mL) MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
1/2 tsp. (2 mL) garlic powder

MIX all ingredients together until completely
    blended; refrigerate.
SERVE with raw vegetables or pita chips

    Cheesy Salsa Dip
Just follow our 2 simple steps
Heat 1 lb. cubed, Velveeta Process Cheese Loaf and 1 jar (16 fl. oz) salsa in a large microwave bowl on HIGH 5 min. or until cheese is melted, stirring after 3 min.
Serve hot with wheat thins crackers or red and green pepper strips or nacho chips
For thinner consistency, stir in up to 1/4 cup milk. Fun Idea
To serve dip in a bread bowl, cut a lengthwise slice from a large, round bread loaf, remove centre, leaving a 1 in. thick bread shell. Pour in hot dip and serve.

    Veggie Pakoras
This are Indian (as in India) chickpea fritters
They are fried in oil, so they're not low-fat, but they are tasty.
    1Cup chickpea flour(bulk barn)
    1Cup shredded cabbage
1Cup shredded onion(be prepared for lots of tears
    1Tbsp curry powder
    3Tbsp water, more if needed
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Add more water as neccesary until you have a thick, chunky, gooey batter. Spoon into a pan of hot oil and turn after 45sec to 1min. Fry for another minute on the other side. Remove pakoras from oil and blot on paper towels. Serve hot.
Suggestion dipping sauces: sweet chili sauce(aka sweet pepper jelly), chutney, or plum sauce.
I made these at my housewarming party, and everybody loved them.
