Yeah man ... you ... i want to ask you something about your X2 5000+.

What voltage are you running for 3.2ghz or are you at 3150?
I got one now a new build at 3150 at 1.40v orthos prime stable so far 12 hours and still going. I tried 3.2ghz right out of the box it posts it runs, but so far not primed yet.. oh i tried 1.45 and 1.48 for 3.2ghz 16 multiplyer and yes i adjusted my HT to 800mhz = 4x.
I have my 4GB 2 x 2GB KIT of G.Skill PC2-1000 running @ just under 800mhz.. 15 x 210 is my setting.
There's what I'm running it at 24/7. I didn't run orthos prime for any huge amounts of time though. I think I let it run for a few hours and it looked good so I went with it. It's been solid ever since too. No crashes, no freezing, nothing.
There's one error in the screenie though. The tRAS shows 18 clocks and it's set at 15 in the bios. I googled the issue and it seems that others with this mobo has the same "problem".
BTW, nice to see that you decided to run with AMD still. I don't regret buying this CPU at all man. It's cheap, fast, stable, and runs games alot better then my 3800+ X2 setup did.
I'm curious though, what else did you get?

Oh one more thing.......
I was kind of lost when trying to get a good balance for cpu and ram speed. I couldn't figure out how the divider for this system worked.
I ended up finding this. -> http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ht=am2+divider

Ah .. i know the divider thing already from past experience and i am running this OC on a cheap $68.00 ASUS mobo... lol
Awesome man.... awesome.
I did try 222 and 228 14x multi i had 918 DDR2 on one setting, but never tried for my 1000mhz yet, but no prime yet on the 14x settings, so i will try in a day or so after i get a solid orthos prime on this 15 and maybe up it a little bit more past 800ddr 2 .. which so far it rocks at these settings i have now.. so far 12 and 20min.. yeee haww.
This CPU rocks so far.
And i went AMD for now... lol
Oh also my sticks many can do 1066 - 1100 with them, but i won't try this on this build.

They'll bring out a smokin', kick @ss quad before too long I'm sure. In the mean time I think you'll be happy with that 5000+. So saying "for now" might not hold a lot of water if you're planning on going with Intel. lol

I may go Intel or wait for what AMD has to offer and this $68.00 Mobo can run the Phenoms as well... LOL
This X2 5000+ is not much faster then my Old Opti 170 which ran at 2.8ghz Stable and gone to 3.0ghz not stable.
The AMD X2 5000+ is a FX60 Unlocked to 25x Multi if need to be on some mobos.
My temp under full load orthos is 47C Max and idle is around 22C-23C.. this was/is fairly similar to my Opti 170, but the Opti ran hotter on the cores under full load.
Oh as for what else did i get = nothing else.. except a new case = a antec 900.. awesome case and air flow.. i running my Ninja REV B on the CPU with artic silver 5.
Well, if it's about the same as your Opti then why didn't you go bigger? lmao

Cause i wanted to run my DDR2 sticks and have a unlocked Multi and do at least 3.1-3.2 ghz or more 100% prime stable for ast least 12 to 16 hours or more, but 12 hours is good for daily user that never folds or runs 100% full load all day 24/7..
That Opti would never do it.

Soon maybe in a few weeks i may get a X3870 HIS @ 850mhz/2.38ghz memory speed.. STOCK.
HIS makes awesome cards. I wish I could have gotten one this time around too. HIS released the IceQ HD3870's about a week or two after I bought my Sapphy.
No worries though. I use Riva Tuner to jack the fan speed up to 60% and it's mint for temps and still quiet.

Yeah they pretty good cards.
Well so far i have been priming now for 14hrs 57min @ 3150mhz
Well i shut Orthos down just after 16 hours of priming at my settings and that is good enough for me as i usually do 12 hours and shut it down. I may try higher settings in a few days or so.
I wouldve' at 12 hrs. ,,,I don't think anything will push it's use for prime 95..,so even 12 maybe may be too long, lmo
That's what she said !
I have seen 16 hour failures give blue screens of death while playing a game or other usage, 24hrs of prime is the better way to know for sure, but i have never had any issues after 12 hour priming, but that does not mean i won't, but a lot of ppl who prime will state 12-16hrs is good enough, but you do have that slim chance of a blue screen happening.
get a room you two...lol
also...wrong thread no?
Well not really as were are going to be talking about gaming on such a good Overclocking CPU and for $103.00 (NEW) it was a good deal.
