    Default Homemade clam chowder anyone??

    Gramas Clam choder
Ok this is a really easy recipe..
    Ingredients needed are as follows
6 to 8 med size potatoes..peeled and chopped into squares.
4 or 5 cups of milk, depending how much you chowder you want..
2 or 3 cans of clams
    8 or 10 soda crackers
    2or 3 onions
    salt and pepper
Ok peel your potatoes and dice the, the put them to boil till they get soft, but not too soft.
Next peel the onions and chop them into small pieces and fry them up til they are golden brown
Next get the crackers and roll them into fine crumbs
When the potatoes are done, drain the water out of them and pour the cans of clams in, making sure you pour the juice too then add the milk and then the onions and put everything on the stove and finally add the cracker crumbs and salt and pepper to taste..
The crumbs are to thicken it to the consistency, that you want it..Just make sure that you don't burn the milk..
when you start to see that the chowder is getting little bubbles and is hot enough, then turn it off, because it's ready..
I hope you enjoy this clam chowder as much as i do..The recipe has been passed down from my grandmas.. Let me know what you think Enjoy
