Default Nikon D300

any users of this camera ?
i have read a million reviews online.. and may even drive to Sudbury's Blacks to try it out before I get one.

If anyone uses it - what are your opinions?

I have had a d200 for about 2 yrs now i guess, it's a great camera. I tried out the d300 in LA about 2 mo and it's very similar. A definite step up but not so much that i would replace my 200, i may actually get a d300 in addition to my d200 if i get a bit more serious about wedding photography.

As far as DSLRs go it took me this long to go to DSLR and I chose the Nikon D300.No problems as of yet.Dont regret buying it in the least.

Why drive to Sudbury??They are in stock at Camera Craft in the Sault.
And they are great for service and support.
Warranty cards are filled out and sent in for registering as soon as you buy.

I bought these lenses/accessories

AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f3.5-5
TC-14E II AF-S Teleconverter
AF NIKKOR 50mm f1.4D
AF-S Micro NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8D
Sigma APO 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG HSM
Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D10
SB-800 Speedlight
Eyepiece Magnifier DG-2
Magnifying Eyepiece DK-21M
Right-angle Viewing Attachment DR-6
AC Adapter EH-5a/EH-5
Remote Cord MC-36
2x Lexar 4GB Professional UDMA 300X CompactFlash cards

The only lenses I am thinking about adding are the-
AF-S Zoom NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8
And the-
AF-S Zoom NIKKOR 28-70mm f/2.8

i am goin to be buying direct from Nikon Canada and once you buy it.. you cannot return it. hence i wanted to play with it. however i completely forgot about Camera Craft - i will go play with er

thanks for the heads up and responses!!

I also have the 70-200mm 2.8 VR, SB-800 and the battery grip for the D300 on my list

if anyone wants an amazing prime lens - the SIGMA 30mm 1.4 HSM DC EX lens is dynamite!!! works out to a 45mm with the DX crop factor. it is fast and amazingly crystal clear.

i am also looking into the AF-S DX Zoom NIKKOR 17-55mm f2.8G IF ED
once i get the 70-200 2.8 af-s lens we could meet up and you could try it out sir!
i fell in love with the commander flash options and am anxious to try the angled bouncing and such
