Default How does one go about having a land survey done?

How does one go about having a land survey done? We want to get our driveway paved but we are almost positive that part of the neighbour's portion of the shared driveway is actually ours. We'd also like to have a more accurate idea of where our property line is for the building of a garage a few years down the road. Who do we contact and approx. how much should it cost us?

Contact one of the surveyors in town. D.S Urso is one ....254-7851

    Tulloch is another one 949-1457.

    I think it's about 350-400 bucks.

both our neighbours driveways are encroaching on our property but the lawyer said nothing we can do because they both paved them long before we moved into our house.

There was no survey on file and we were not, for some reason I can't remember, required to have one at the time.

</div></div>If there was no survey the lawyer should ahve sold you title insurance which would cover issues such as the problem you are having.

I would also think a survey would have been done in the original sale of your property.

Call a surveyor in town or city surveyor to have one done.

Survey or not, people would be absolute idiots to buy a house without title insurance.
