Default Concert Last Night

Lowest Turnout

Maybe this will help the people in charge realize, the 80's are dead. If you want people to show up, get some current bands in this city. I doubt those two bands would have even sold the place out back in their heyday.

LMAO, yeah I seen that coming. Washed up early 90's bands along with a local bar band tagged with an outrageous ticket price. Great combination that = low ticket sales.

The show wasn't put on by the city, it was an independent promoter.

Well, independant promoter or the city, people need to realize what will make money these days. If your gonna charge a lot of money, make it a band, or something people care about.

I mean Sudbury is getting 50 Cent, not that I am a huge fan or anything, but that will sell out and make money. I hope this place wakes up and smells the coffee.

I'm shocked we haven't had a WWE even booked yet. I'm sure that will still do great!

Bring Arch Enemy here to tear the roof off of the Steelback. Angela would leave everyone both in love and in horror.

Kudos to the promoters and better luck next time.

I'd pay to see almost anything from the past 5-10 years that wasn't made for young girls.

Foo Fighters
Green Day
Offspring
Tool
Slipknot
Disturbed
Static-X

That type of music, I know everyone has their own tastes. But I think the promoters are getting music they like, not what the masses in the city like. I say develop a website, with a survey and see what people want, and try to get it.

I don't think it's a matter of who people want to see. It's a matter of what price people are willing to pay and for who. The promoters just have to do their homework a little better is all. I knew right from the start the ticket sales were going to flop because of the outrageous price for that line up. I mean, how many times has Slaughter been to the Kewadin now and for only $20. Why would people want to all of a suddend pay triple that for bands that aren't really selling these days. I would've probably went, but at a much lower priced ticket.

They should get Rush to play here, that would definitely sell out.

I personally think Dream Theater and Symphony X rule but I know they wouldn't draw much of a crowd here in the Sault because not everyone is in to progressive metal. I think what they are talking about here is, not who's the best, but who would actually draw a crowd in this city and at what price.

Lol i recently tried to book rush here and i would have had to have a min 110 tickets for floor. Even then i would have made 20 bucks if it sold out.

Would you have paid $110 for floor seats and 120 for reserved seating for RUSH>? let me know It would have been on Sat June 21.
Most other stops on their tour tix are min $85 anyways.

If they had a brain cell when they built the place they would have had capacity for 2000 more people and you could then book big name bands in.

I recently went down to Grand Rapids The Police attracted 7000 people so it was financially a go, that arena holds 12,000. My second row center ticket had a face prive of $290.00...
