The Canadian MSRP for the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 starts at $44,995, plus $1300 destination charge.

The first 6000 or so sold before they were even in production lol. gotta love it. They are making 1 petty blue one that sold on ebay for 243,000.

I love the looks of it, it represents the older ones very well. The camaro doesnt do the 1st gens justice at all ,Its a shame gm dropped the ball on that concept.

It looks like the new Camaro?
Cars today, are designed with a cookie cutter. Some say it's the wind tunnel.
It's unfortunate when competing manufacturers don't offer more choice.
All that cash gets you a chance at someone saying " That looks just like the new Camaro"!

Theres tons of diff, between the 2 . The challenger is being made for one, while G.M. spends tons of time and money making a bad car worse. At least the challenger when compaired to a 1970 looks like the car ,The camaro however does not at all represent a first gen (67-69) model and never will.

It's a nice car, no question.
Your right, they did a better job, cloning than GM did, only on this one.
The Charger missed the mark big time.
The side profile of the two cars are close, very close, and it didn't have to be.

I mean come on, the A pillar, B pillar and windshield angle,
front grille recess and the rear valance and gas cap and wheel wells and even the rims are the same or close.
The original cars weren't that close.
The grille insert and the hood on the Dodge are the only thing that makes them difference.
The above, face to face picture, shows two strikingly different cars, IMO.
Front and rear overhang, approach and windshield angle, wheel wells aren't even close.
The new Camaro and new Challenger bodies are as different as the cars that race in Cup, and they are compared to the old IROC series!

Leave it to the after market.
This is a better job of cloning the Camaro.
LOTS of work...man...but what a result.

oh I agree but that would be chevy design people going humm look at what dodge is doing, but I have to differ about the challenger its hot as hell and looks like a challenger even to the ricer kiddies.Dodges intent was never to copy the car to the last detail but a moderen version so its a given that the front end and rear would get these rubber bumpers and the wheelwells well theres nobody out there with a perfomace car being produced that still carries a 14" or 15" wheel . Gotta make room for the meats somehow. The Camaro looks like a mid 70's Toyota Celica more than a classic, beautiful 69 ZL-1 camaro, they need to work hard on it before release to get the honor that car once had . Hell I would take a third gen over the new one anyday.
