Wow, thats a twist isn't it?

There is nothing she can possibly say that would make her appear innocent! IMO, you got behind the wheel drunk... that in itself should call for a sever sentence. I have a very low tolerance for people who do something stupid like that. Not only are the putting themselves in danger but the rest of the people on the road as well.
Same thing goes with people that are high. Your ability to function is deteriorated, and you are a danger to the safety of others. Smarten the hell up!

Isn't it nice that someone who will not call defense witnesses, and won't testify on their own behalf, will plead innocent and cause the expense of a trial. What a waste of time and money.
I agree.
well she probably thought with the other testimonies she didnt have a chance....why waste time...

I hear what you're saying. Theres no way she could have known that in a drunk driving case that they would bring experts showing she was drunk. Also definitely wouldn't think that they would call the nurses had to listen to her vulgar outbursts.
Puffy! Gruffy! Downright Scruffy!
well so far all the testimonies were against her, like really, who's going to testify in her favour???? NO ONE in their right mind, her lawyer probably advised her not to, she might have made things worse (if there is such a thing)
Apparently none of you have heard her previous statements. She claims that it was the cops that ran the red light. I think that's her argument. Oddly enough, I've heard that THAT was the case. The fact that she was drunk might not have anything to do with this case.. Ironic.. Don't get me wrong, I'm with you guys. One would think a drunk diver killing a cop is an open/shut case. Toss the book at em.. if that's the case, why haven't they yet? Couple more cases like this, and we will certainly start to see more of those intersection cameras being set up.

ya i knew that she claimed the cops ran a red, but who's the jury going to believe???
after all the testimonies you think they're going to take her seriously?
it should have been an open and shut case, she was drunk, smashed into a car , a person died....end of story....or you'd think
now....on the other hand, if what she said was true (that they ran the red light) had she NOT been drunk, maybe her judgement MIGHT have been clearer, she MIGHT have stopped in time....either way.....she was screwed
I'd like to say I agree with you, (about being screwed) I have a funny feeling she might get less than everyone expects she will.
I didn't know Doucet personally, but I had seen him around a lot and he was a really nice guy, an excellent cop.. coughhatecopscough.. but he was one of the few I truly respected. Some drunk driver driving someone else's vehicle.. speeding and running a redlight.. or not, SHE WAS DRUNK, BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND KILLED A POLICE OFFICER!
"The truth may hurt, but lies are sure to destroy"
well a friend of mine was killed about 10 yrs ago, head on collision, other driver at fault because he fell asleep at the wheel.....he got 3 months...
different situation, but still....
i agree with you, i think she might get less than we expect, i dont even know what the minimum is, but if she gets 10yrs i'll be happy
I agree however that she won't get enough time to satisfy the "masses" I think that there will be a lot of disappointment when her sentence is announced. Just like Clayton Laposee - not nearly enough time but as much as could be assigned under the law.

Evidence is what can determine if Niganobe or the police ran the red light. Courts don't leave that to simple he said/she said statements.
BTW, the fact that she won't testify means nothing. Lawyers get paid to present evidence and decide what is necessary to bring in front of the courts.

Yes, it is crazy..but most of Soo is doing it...cops, teachers, doctors....it is sad, but it is true.
My prediction is 3 years, if not less, and more than likely to a treatment center.

i agree but it still doesnt say 100% she killed that police officer
OMG are you Effing kidding me... It dosn't say she killed the officer? So it was magic trolls in her van that were driving drink and hit the cop car?
