I am hoping that someone has the recipe for this cake. It is one of my favourites and I have misplaced the recipe.
    Thanks.

theres many different variations of this recipe
    here's 2 more popular ones

    1 teas. Almond Extract
    1 teas. Pineapple Extract
    1 teas. Butter Extract

    Glaze:
    1 Cup Sugar
    1/2 Cup Water
    1 teas. Vanilla Extract
    1 teas. Lemon Extract
    1 teas. Rum Extract
    1 teas. Coconut Extract
    1 teas. Almond Extract
    1 teas. Pineapple Extract
    1 teas. Butter Extract

Cream sugar, margarine and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, set aside. Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Add flour mixture alternately with milk and flavorings to sugar mixture. Pour into greased and floured tube or Bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour. Leave cake in pan to cool.

To prepare glaze: heat sugar and water using low heat until sugar is dissolved; add Flavorings. While cake is cooling, drizzle glaze over cake. When completely cool, remove from pan and let stand glazed side up so that the glaze penetrates. (NOTE: The glaze provides a very potent addition to an already flavorful cake. You may wish to cut down the amount of flavor used in the glaze.)

Similar to 5 Flavor Pound Cake, but so much better, I think.

    gaudrey's 7 Flavor Pound Cake

    1 cup butter or margarine
    3 cups sugar
    6 eggs
    1 teaspoon rum flavoring (I like McCormick's)
    1 teaspoon orange extract
    1/4 teaspoon almond extract
    1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon butter flavoring
    3 cups all purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup apricot brandy or apricot nectar
    GLAZE:
1/4 cup apricot brandy or nectar
    2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add flavorings and blend. Sift all dry ingredients together and set aside. Combine sour cream and brandy or nectar. Set aside. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture alternately with the sour cream mixture. Pour into a greased and floured or sprayed Bundt or tube pan. Bake at 350 until the top springs back when touched lightly with your fingertips, about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool in the pan for a few minutes and then turn out onto a rack to complete cooling. Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cake.

Thanks for the recipe. I believe it is the first one that sounds similar to the one I had. I don't think it called for pineapple flavouring but I'll try it.

I haven't baked it yet. I still have to pick up some flavourings. I am going to try # 1. I'll let you know how it turns out.

That does sound good. Where can you buy these different extracts? I have a recipe here that calls for raspberry extract.

Try the Bulk Barn in the mall or Sugar & Spice on Pim.
