Whats the lowest paying job at the plant now? $40,000 - $45000 a year at least plus benefits? You could buy alot of brass for that.

I was just going to mentioned this and the 2 18 yr olds that worked at CT and was caught on camera stealing.

These 3 should be lucky they had a job period. Now they will probably never get another job. Especially the Essar dude.

Why people would think they could try to pull something like that and get away with it is beyond me.

Its called desperation and a strong need to satisfy a drug habit in many of these cases. Its so sad to see lives ruined over such pilfering.It seems CTC and Romes get hit very hard with shoplifters and its good to see SOME are caught. I often wonder how many got away with it and we pay the costs involved with store losses.

My sil steals from everywhere all the time because of her drug habits. She's only been caught once and got a $50 fine, but walked away with about $200 in merchandise they couldn't prove was stolen. Meanwhile half the stuff in her house is stolen. I find it really embarassing when people find out she's part of my family and especially to my poor little nephew who now has all of his school teasing him cause his mom is a 'stealer'. I think it's so stupid that people try to do these things. I'm glad they got caught. I bet stepping up security would be worth the extra cost in what it would save the stores in theft loses.

losing the CT job at a little over min wage with min benefits is one thing but the guy who lost the plant job will likely never get a job like that in this town again.
