Default Real Estate Brokerages, which one to use? Costs?

We are seriously considering selling our house. Can anyone recommend a good real estate company to use? Do some companies charge more for their commission?

Some companies do charge more for their commission. Some will also let you bargain with them about how much commission they will charge you. A brokerage has an overhead that they have to pay to their company, so they charge a little bit more. I just bought a house and the selling realtor charged 3% + GST for the sale. PM me if you want to know his name, or I can let you know the realtor that helped me with purchasing. She's new, young and works hard because she is trying to establish herself with some of the old hounds out there. Either way, I can tell ya both the sames to judge for yourself, and they are from 2 different brokerages.

I have been in business for over 22 years and you can contact anyone that has done business with me to find out how I represent your best interest by selling your home for the most money possible with the least inconvenience to you and your family. I'm not only a successful real estate broker/owner, but also a registered mortgage broker/owner, which means that rather than bother you with "lookers" that can't afford your home, I ensure ALL my prospects are pre-qualified and will be able to obtain a mortgage on your home BEFORE I show the property. Others rely on the banks to complete the qualifying which leaves the agent out of the loop. This can tie up your home for a period of time (usually 7 - 10 days or more) and often the deal falls apart. This adds unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation and other prospects will think your home is sold, so they move on to buy another. Feel free to contact me for a no obligation evaluation at your convenience. My name is Byron Woodcock and I own Home Town Real Estate Ltd. located at 85 Northern Avenue East. Phone 25-4SALE(7253) ext 22. I offer discount fees on real estate and NO FEES on mortgages. I have the Lenders bid for your mortgage business and offer excellent rates. WE OFFER DISCOUNTED REAL ESTATE FEES!
