Default Dead Squirrels in a bucket...

so...we found a bucket half full of antifreeze in our yard, with 3 dead squirrels in it. We also have a dog, who isn't an outside dog, but we let him out on a leash obviously and he barks, and when he does, we go and let him in. It's one of two people we think. What would you do?

i'd probably call the cops, then when they figure out who did it go and have a friendly chat with them

How much time do you figure they'll be putting into this case?

Seriously though, I'm with bluesky on this one. Make a point of letting the people who you think it is, know that you know it's them. Then let them know that if anything at all happens to your dog, the next time they hear from you it will be through your lawyer, requesting their prescence in court to address your civil lawsuit. Also let them know that you've documented everything and will be doing so from now on.

At a minimum, it'll make your neighbours think twice from now on.

Thats too bad the people who put the bucket wouldn't come and talk to you..Cowards..
Is your dog making for bad neighbours?
Maybe they should have keept the bucket in thier own yard.

i'd call the police. someone tried to poison your dog. they may not come but who knows maybe they'll finger print the bucket if you ask em to.

how do you know it's obviously there for another animal? why you put poison in someone's yard when they have a dog unless you are intending to harm the dog...doesn't make sense to me.

mostly people use that stuff to kill cats, however, it could very well be for other animals, i shouldnt have used the word "obviously"
putting antifreeze in a bucket and leaving it outside, sounds like someone wants to kill something

If they were black squirrels reset the trap,a pail ofa little antifreeze makes a great mouse trap at camp during the winter.

lol ya, maybe ill call the human society, so it's documented at least, i even thought that it'd be bad for the cops to know, because if my dog got poisoned, i'd bring unsung evils to my neighbour(s), and the less the cops know, the better
