Suggestions for Dog with Urinary Infections

My dog never had these for the first two years of his life and all of sudden he has developed a urinary infection that I can't get rid of . I took him to the vets and was diagnosed with this and they put him on Clamamox for 14 days. Needless to say 14 days later he still had it. So the Vet then put him on something stronger for 10 days. Now 10 days after the pills are done I noticed it is back or was still there. There is blood in his urine when he pees and he is always scratching himself there. Does anybody know what causes this and what else they would suggest other than I am going to have to go back to the vets on Wed.

I was told by a vet in Edmonton when my brother's cat had a UTI that Cranberry Juice works if you can get them to drink it.

I was just doing som research and aparrently there are cranberry extract tablets that work the same as the juice if you can find them here in the soo

Did your vet exray for stones? Might be more than just infection.
