Body Scan Opinions Please

Got flyer re Ultralife Body Scan at Best Western in Sault Michigan Monday and Tuesday (18th & 19th). Prices range from $45 for arm/leg scan to $275 for Heart/Stroke scan or Full Body for $500.

Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with this outfit?
Researched newspaper articles show they are legit but no comments from patients.

Please reply only if you have personal experience or know someone who does. Thank you.

but its only ultrasounds...correct?
if so, that's not really helpful, i mean it is but a cat scan would have been cool for that price....

Thinking Hard is obviously a misnomer!
Sault Star does not give any info on a "scam" Dr Macmichael gives the opinion that this is a "fad" and a gimmick to get more testing done. UltraLife does not offer any further testing; it would have to be done through your Dr so no furether profit motive there.
I clearly stated that I already had researched newspaper articles.
What I asked was "Please reply only if you have personal experience or know someone who does." One does not have to to be a genius to figure out what that means. I did appreciate the tongue n cheek by kitty&mimi; well put.

Where are the results coming from?..Who's the radiologist?...What are this person's credentials?....

There's lots of unknowns to me...sounds less than professional to me. JMO

As well here's a great point....even if you get a carotid done or coronary, echo cardiogram...etc etc. There's no follow up if you have a false- positive or even worse a false -negative....which require more testing (indepth) with other types of modalities TO CONFIRM THE ORIGINAL DETECTION. One thing that i have learned is that one test alone is NEVER a competent way to be sure. Worse yet...what happens if you were to be treated for a disease and it was a false positive?....Be careful people!

I've done the newspapers research; you have vague quotes that say Dr and professional testing are better. Have you ever tried getting your Dr to order testing. Usually do when it's too late to do any good.

It is not a replacement for ultrasounds ordered by a Dr. done in a proper setting with well trained xray tech. and the results read by radiologists. This isn't any better than voodoo science.

I dunno bigguy, you asked for the oppinions, some gave you some info or oppinions and both. Maybey some here actually work in the field 1st hand. Maybey not.

Ultimately its your choice & your money. Please feel free to do what you wish, but dont ask for oppinions if your going to be dead set against listening to them. Good luck.

Dr. teeth for $500 a pop this would make a a nice side hobby on a quite night if someone was in that field in town . Gee I think I just thought up a new fund raising idea for the hospital.Amazing this guy can run a ad and sheep flock to it but if the hospitals where to do this people would be up in arms that they would charge for the service. If this is what people want I say open the doors and let them come in for a price and get scans, hell give them the X-ray so they can frame it and hang it on the wall. And another question would any doctor even waist his time reading it because like Dr. Teeth said there are so many possible faults there.

I wouldn't call anyone having this done a "patient". This is the same as going to a pharmacy and using their blood pressure machine, or using one of those "toys" at a carnival that reads you pulse, etc.
