    Default After pregnancy question

I have a question, how long after u have a baby should u still be mildly spotting? some days theres hardly anything then some days theres mild to heavy spotting. Its been 7 weeks 2 days since i had her and today i woke up to heavy spotting. But since i had her there has not been a day that goes by that i have not had spotting, , well maybe a couple where there was barley anything, is this normal?

I had that with my second. It would come and go, one day I would have a normal "period" like and the next would be barely anything. I also noticed if I did a lot of things like doing housework and that such stuff my "period" would get heavier.

ya its weird, i heard from a dr and some people that when u breastfeed u have barley no periods, but i wouldent say its like a period its more like heavy and light spotting. and not bright red more pinkish brownish color like the end of of a period.

My sister breasfed my nephew for almost a year and a half and through it all she had spotting. She did not get a "normal" period until a few months after she stopped breasfeeding.

you can bleed postpartumly up to 12 weeks and it be completely normal. i have known some to go even longer then that. If you are concerned i would suggest speaking with your doctor again.
