Thread: Fishing

    Default Fishing

I wanted to take my kids fishing somewhere, as I am new to the area. They've been wanting to try it out & hopefully catch a few, nothing major! Just to say they 'caught a fish' somthing they could be proud of

Where would be some good spots to go?

Well for little kids, what about Island Lake. Fish right on the shore by the side of the road. Little bass, and they give a nice little fight for kids!!

I agree with givenmore.. and you always catch them.. One right after another.. only need worms and a hook.

Go down searchmount hiway .. first lake you come to on the right hand side.. there is also a public beach just down the road aswell..

we always park on the shoulder of the road and just jump the gard rail and sit on the rocks... the kids love it there.

Hiawatha works too, and it is nice and close. I brought my daughters there years ago.. best to bring some small bobbers along.
