partridge hunting up searchmont highway

hey i am new to the soo, with three kids that are dying too kill some partridge,

can anyone help me out on some good roads up north.

its not for me,
i have atv's
but honestly, my kids would love to go .

please,
anyone with help, assistance, advice.

if u take the ranger road there is lots of roads u can take and atv trails just look out for cottage areas

well i am from the area, been here a long time, but have never hunted up the area before.

we just went today up the Searchmont highway and turned off at the Whitman dam and walked up the powerlines. Only saw one bird, there are to many leaves on the trees still, but it was a nice walk.

Yeah, Whitman Dam is exactly 50 kms leading to Domtar Road, which proves to be heaven for bird hunting. Just watch out for the log trucks coming and going up Whitman Dam Road. If you meet them on the cliff, it's a bit spooky.

A nice full day bird drive for us is up Whitman Dam, turn right at Domtar, Right again on Laughing Lake Road, and come out at Ranger Lake Road. It's maybe a 150km trip or so.
Beautiful lakes and swamps, and a plethora of wildlife!!

** but I'm NOT filling you in on my favourite fishing hole!! hehe
