Why do we force limitations on ourselves?
Why do we feel we are deserving of punishment?
Ultimately, why do we live our lives for someone else weather they be real or not?
Christians that believe in God, do you believe in God because you fear the alternative? or do you believe in what they believe? Why? How?
I am not looking for references from the Bible... I want to know why YOU choose to follow God's word.

Christians do not regard thier lives as limited. They are free. There was a time when we THOUGHT we were free, but it was a lie; It was really a life of bondage and addiction that got tired real fast. The bigger and bigger bang became illusive.

We feel we are deserving of punishment because we faced what we were honestly and recognized that we are sinners, and that God is holy, and in order for God to remain God, justice must survive.

And justice and mercy were blended in the person of Jesus Christ who died for our sins, taking the punishment we deserved, and was condemned in our place. Because He was the Son of God, he rose from the dead, and lives today.

Life with Christ is a wonderful experience, and we have no limitations. Living with a transcendent purpose that looks beyond the grave is liberating.

We live our lives for Him, because it is the only way to really live. Living for ourselves is a dead end street.

I want to know, because to me, living what he gave me is how one really lives.. To me what you just said here sounds very much the same as the teacher's pet did in class... it's almost like one is willing to suffer in order to be blessed. How is life blessed when you have restrictions you believe God to have?

Is a child's life blessed, free to enjoy life safely if he stays under his parents restrictions or not??

How much more are WE children, under the love, care, AND restrictions of a loving, all wise God.

I'm trying to think of ONE SINGLE thing you want to have freedom to do, that God restricts, that inevitably, always leads to a happy, fulfilled life.
