    Default A Time for Outrage!

    Stoning victim 'begged for mercy'

A young woman recently stoned to death in Somalia first pleaded for her life, a witness has told the BBC.
"Don't kill me, don't kill me," she said, according to the man who wanted to remain anonymous. A few minutes later, more than 50 men threw stones.
Human rights group Amnesty International says the victim was a 13-year-old girl who had been raped.
Initial reports had said she was a 23-year-old woman who had confessed to adultery before a Sharia court.
The witness says she was forced into a hole, buried up to her neck then pelted with stones until she died in front of more than 1,000 people.
Cameras were banned from the public stoning, but print and radio journalists who were allowed to attend estimated that the woman, Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow, was 23 years old.
However, Amnesty said it had learned she was 13, and that her father had said she was raped by three men.

When the family tried to report the rape, the girl was accused of adultery and detained, Amnesty said.

Is it fine in the law's eyes for Somalians to stone one of their own, a poor young rape victim? (isn't this in the name of some religion?)

This is just plain sickening. How lucky we are to live in Canada. Those people who killed her, should be put into jail and kept there for what I hope would be very short painful lives.

How can it be adultry when and if she was raped and was not married?

Or did i miss something here.

Anyhoo thats their laws, imagine if we had those laws here how many women would think twice about cheating.

I don't know if you read the whole article that is posted via the link, Madmax, but it explains how they were able to call it adultery. They had to make up a story in order to kill this girl, because it is illegal according to Islamic law to execute a 13 year old girl. In some countries, girls who are raped, no matter how old they are, will be executed. If a female has sex outside of marriage, it does not matter how it happened, according to their laws and religions.

It really disgusts me, and reading about the stoning itself made me ill. Yet two men involved in a killing, and the torture of a woman received 39 floggings. Sickening!

According to Amnesty International, nurses were sent to check during the stoning whether the victim was still alive. They removed her from the ground and declared that she was, before she was replaced so the stoning could continue.

WHAT THE HELL!!! MY LORD THAT POOR GIRL

Sorry, Bluesky, but unless it's U.S. soldiers who committed this atrocity, 3/4 of Soonet have no desire to condemn the action.

And, we are constantly told over in "Religion" that no one religion is better than another; thus, who are we to condemn the religious views and practices of these people?
