Help for newborn Marli Cress

Marli Cress is one week old. She has been diagnosed with Pierre Robin Syndrome, a cleft pallette, her left eye is connected to no optic nerves, her vocal cords may not be functional, and she cannot breathe without assistance. The middle and ring fingers of both of her hands are not fully developed, and her brain may not be sending the correct messages to them in order to have them develop properly. Her left ear is not properly positioned, and both ears are rotated backward. Her nostrils are abnormally small, hindering her breathing. She has a club foot, and some of the testing she is undergoing is causing internal bleeding within her tiny body. Thus far she has required two blood transfusions in order to keep her going. She is unable to eat without the aid of a feeding tube.



Her family resides here in the Sault with her two older siblings, ages 2 and 4. Her mother and father are currently both in London, Ontario, with Marli while she undergoes nessessary testing and treatments. Clearly, this situation is causing a considerable financial burden on the family, especially with Christmas right around the corner.

The wheels are in motion for a benefit for Marli and her family, however her friends and family would greatly appreciate any donations that could be made in her honour. Collections are taking place at the following locations...

More locations will be posted as we find more companies willing to help us out with this.

Oh that's so sad, I went to elementary school with Sheena.
I saw her status on facebook that she was going to london, but I didn't know what was wrong with her new baby.

I know of 3 girls around my age that have had sadness with the births of their babies, one baby passed away shortly after birth, I don't know why, this baby with her problems, and my fiance's cousins baby is also in london, she went into labour at 6 months, and the baby was born weighing 1lb 13oz. It's scary, I'm glad I'm not having babies anytime soon, it's like there is something in the air.

I haven't a lot of money and I choose not to pray but I will remember her often. I am a retired contractor who specialized in working for the profoundly and severely handicapped. I performed many services for the Provincial government run private living homes.If the family requires any help in that vein I will donate my time, tools, and ideas. I tried to PM you but I failed so this was my last resort.

there is a benefit of sorts in the making, with a possibility of over 9 bands intersted in playing for the charity event. We're talking all sorts of musical stylings. I guess it pays to have worked in the bars for so long... glad to be out, but htrilled to have made the connections that i did.

From what I understood from facebook and on here is that the baby is in London and the family is from here. It also looks like the benefit will be here from what I read but i could be wrong.
