    You think so??

Maybe your old analog phone does, but hey, Bell's been doing those for a hundred years.

All Bell long distance is VOIP now, and it's causing all kinds of havoc.

    And it's "never" their fault!!!

That might explain some of the long distance issues I've experienced with Bell.

We've had vianet phone for a year, but I don't know anyone else with it so we've never had that problem. I did have a problem with the calls disconnecting in the middle, quite frequently. It seems to have stopped now.

I myself have never had a problem either, and I'm not with Bell. I've had 4 problems in 1 year with Bell.

When you are talking about ANY service provider there are no two clients the same. One could be having a problem and the other isn't, you can't blame the whole company for 1 fault.

Now if the one company, had the same problem with EVERY client, then you can say the company isn't up to par.

    That's it exactly.

Apparently some voicemail systems especially have a problem with VOIP calls, digits not being recognized. The worst part is it's on bell systems.

I have a local friend who can't reach her daughter at work on her Shaw phone, but her cell works fine.

All the VOIP providers are working on it.

I've had Vianet for over a year now, no problems yet. (knock on wood) For $49 / month tax included, I get high speed cable internet, telephone with call display, call waiting, voicemail, and great long distance rates. Thanks Vianet you saved me over $500 and counting.
