Ken Danby painted a nice one
Theres a man in the sault who did an amazing one last year around this time. He had a display set up at Romes. Let me see if I can remember his name. It was an amazing picture
they have some nice prints at Mobile Glass on Wellington St. W.
Errol Monchka from the Sault Here painted an incredible picture of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Perhaps that's who's paintings are set up at Romes???
I am not merely a mass of molecules, incoherently careening through time and space. I am a child of God, destined for another world, a world before which this one pales in significance. Our spiritual preparation for the next world is to be the priority of this life.

and ya, erol monchka did the edmund fitzgerald
That is a digital painting, not done in oil or acrylic or watercolours. It was done with a computer.
I don't think it's realistic looking at all.
The Fitzgerald was a rust colour. Errol has his boat in black. huh?
David Conklin did two very nice paintings that were available as prints. These are hand signed both by him AND Gordon Lightfoot. I'm not sure if there are many still for sale. Here is one site you can get one of them

He took a photo of a freighter, leaned it a bit on it's side, and created the water around it.
I have a rendition by William J. Koelpin. It is an absolutely haunting picture that comes to life under a small light.
Here is the artist's webpage...

The picture on the webiste is quite a bit lighter than the actual print which is why a small picture light is recommended to capture its detail.

That looks like a nice one 4caster. Lots of drama, colour and realistic looking.
Wow thanks so much everyone. I'll try mobile glass first then make my way around.
