On Sunday, January 11, 2009, come enjoy the snow with the Coalition for Algoma Passenger Trains and Searchmont Resort. The day will begin with a train ride at 9:00 am from the ACR Station in Sault Ste. Marie to Searchmont Resort. There will be a full day of activities, including: SKIING, SNOWSHOEING, SNOWBOARDING, STRUCTURE BUILDING, TUG OF WAR, COOKING BANNOCK OVER THE BONFIRE, TOBOGGAN OBSTACLE COURSE AND AN ORIENTEERING COURSE. Buses will arrive at Searchmont to pick everyone up at 4:30 pm, arriving back in Sault Ste. Marie at 5:15 pm.
Tickets are $25.00 and are available at the Sault Ste. Marie Searchmont Office (60 Pim St.) or through Lori Middaugh at 949-2301 ext. 4356 or firstname.lastname@example.org
NOTE: If you wish to cross-country ski, you must bring your own equipment
Additional costs: Downhill skiing/snowboarding $25.00 (Discount of $50.00; discount only available if you take the train). You must provide your own lunch, available for purchase at the canteen at Searchmont Resort.
