    Default Furnace Oil

What is the standard size of a oil furnace tank?

What is the cost per litre of furnace oil?

What is the emergency call out fee for delivery of said furnace oil?

Realized it's the holidays, my guage doesn't work and we've been out of the house for two days and just ran out.

Gots da money, just don't know how much of da money i need!

    lol

When we were looking at houses in the spring, I was told it was around $700 to fill an oil tank. Not sure what it's at now, but probably somewhere in that ballpark?

BDK oil tanks are usually 200 gallons, not sure of the cost of oil or the emergency call out but, if I were you, I'd check to see if the Husky North is open and buy 10 gallons of diesel fuel, more or less the same thing http://www.powertogo.ca/dieselvsheating.htm good luck

The trip to the Husky for diesel fuel is a good idea to get you through the holidays and avoid any unnecessary bills associated with an emergency call.

Another option - go to Wardlaw Fuels Gas Bar in Steelton, they sell actual furnace oil. But, if you are closer to the Husky, the diesel fuel will work just fine.

My guess was pretty close. If it's a 200 gallon tank, it would be $766 at current prices.

If you are with McDougall, sign up for the automatic top up and you will never be empty again...you may have to be on equal billing, though. If you ever do run out - they give you a tank full for free.
