Hmmm..ok....
you just have to find what works for you...i had quit when i was pregnant but when i went back to work i started smoking again, which was so stupid because i had been smoke free that time for almost 10 months. i only smoked 4-5 a day, so when i found out i was pregnant again it was kinda easy to quit because i didnt really smoke that much. now i have no desire to smoke at all and i dont even think about it anymore. it doesnt even bother me if i see someone smoking either. i feel so much better and i cough a lot less too!lol!
Keebler quit smoking about 14 months ago now. I was so proud of him. He did it cold turkey.
The coughing when he quit was the worst, because he felt this urge to clear his throat constantly. It was pretty gross when you saw what came out of his lungs.

Ahhh..nice to see words of hope, and inspiration, but more importantly...achievement. Congrats to all of you who have found success. I will be making another attempt to quit very shortly myself...guess I will have to look at my health and well-being as my motivating factor...it is such a BIG one too...so many benefits to quitting.
Thanks all !!!
Congrats! I quit 13 years ago this New Years. It's one of the best things I ever did for myself.
I am not merely a mass of molecules, incoherently careening through time and space. I am a child of God, destined for another world, a world before which this one pales in significance. Our spiritual preparation for the next world is to be the priority of this life.
Yes congrats ... 1 year is one hell of a mile marker
As for tips .. i used the patch but not correctly I was a pack a day smoker .. but skipped to the 2nd stage patch.
My theory was to use the patch to just take the edge off my cravings, making them easier to deal with yet not
having to suffer the full SLAM when i eventually went off the patch. Its been over 3 years for me now.
Over 3 years for me.
I quit when I was pregnat,
Other than the weight gain!
I feel 100% better,,
I think I was a nicer person when I smoked! A bit calmer! (lol)
Congrats!!!!!Boo Boo
thanks everyone! can't wait till i can post again next year!
Remember how hard it was to quit, and remember all that you have gained by quitting (health and money).
It has been about 6 or 7 years smoke free for me now, and I haven't cheated once. Quitting was one of the best things I have ever done, and I will never risk going back. Even if quitting does not end up extending my life, it has dramatically enhanced my QUALITY of life.
Congratulations to all fellow ex-smokers!

Congrats BooBoo... keep up the awesome work!
If you are not apart of the solution, then you are apart of the problem.
