Default So finally rolled over!! LOL

It took a while for him to realize his arm was in the way of rolling over, but he finally got the hang of it.

Now he can't stop. I'm going to get the camera to take a video. He's rolling over like a steam roller. Takes one roll and the momentum carries him for more!

Topic is supposed to say "SON finally rolled over"

Now he will practice this new skill all the time...even on the change table. I can't leave my son's side when he is on there. He has also started thinking that sleeping on his stomach is better, now that he can roll over. The problem is, he gets there and tries to crawl, so it takes him a while to settle. Fun fun fun!

He is 7 months old now, so I don't mind if he sleeps on his stomach, I just wish he would settle. He slept on his back for so long, now that he can flip, I am not worried if he sleeps on his stomach. Once he does settle, he sleeps quite well on his belly. I prefer to sleep that way too, so maybe he is like me.

Everyone told me (When my daughter was born) that a baby should sleep on it's back to minimize the risk of SIDS.

So I did, and I'm glad I change, I went up to check up on her and she was chokin on her puke, she was on her back and coudn't expel it.

So since then, and even my son sleeps on his stomache.

Have your child sleep propped up with a receiving blanket or on their side....

My daughter has slept on her stomach since she was born. I was given the 3rd degree by nurses at the hospital when she was there with a UTI at 8 weeks. They said "you don't want that on your conscience if she dies" (exact words) The pamphlet they forced me to take also stated that breastfeeding helps reduce the risk of SIDS. So all you formula-feeders...apparently, your child is at a higher risk of SIDS! Ridiculous...

Congrats on the rolling over! I have a video of the absolute very first time mine rolled over! lol And her first crawl, first walk across the room...all of it. Now, she's 19 months, had her first haircut yesterday and is starting the terrible twos Enjoy him now...they grow way too damn fast...

I had 3 kids who were all bottle fed and slept on their stomachs. They're all grown up now and doing just fine. I have a friend whose daughter had a baby and she did everything right (?) - breast fed, slept on back, etc... That baby died of SIDS at 3 months of age. I don't think there are any hard and fast rules on how to prevent SIDS. The so-called experts are grasping at straws. What IS known is that some infants die because they forget to breathe. IMHO, this can happen even if they're breast fed and sleep on their backs.
    I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!

We spend three years getting them to walk and talk, 17 years getting them to sit down and shutup, and the rest of our lives wishing they were still around.

Congrats tpot on the rolling, all their firsts are so darn exciting.

The whole SIDS thing is hilarious, with my first he HAD to sleep on his side, then my second HAD to sleep on his stomach and my daughter HAD to sleep on her back, i figure by the time this baby is born he will have to sleep hanging upside down. If you put a fan in the room it is said to prevent sids and so is a soother and breastfeeding and blah blah blah i could go on forever it is all so not right.

all three of mine were put down in the crib. I had two foam peices that I got for shower gift with velcro so as the baby got bigger they would expand so the baby slept on there sides... it worked neat.. and was good caue they could not roll front words or back wards....

as for remembering all the first.. them first go to fast.. last night my daughter spent at her nanas.. I called to say good night and I loved her.. shes 7 and she did not want to tell me she loved me back.. IT put tears in my eyes.. LOL its just not the cool thing to do now mom.. I had tears in my eyes.. and I said to my husband IT just seems like yesterday we had her...

CHERISH EVERY MOMENT cause they go to frigen fast....

    Congrats tpot...
