    Default Bush says goodbye

It was an interesting half hour and worth the watch. He had one mis speak and I not sure it wasn't for the press. He admitted short comings and short falls. He mentioned WMD and took the blame. He could have said it was poor intel but no. He was glib, comfortable but refused to entertain questions on pardons. Makes one wonder about C Blacks future?

He also said he's not sure whether democracy will survive in Iraq.

President Bush says he isn't certain whether democracy will survive in Iraq.

Summing up his legacy as president, Bush told a news conference he did the right thing in sending an additional 30,000 American troops there to lower the level of daily violence and to stabilize life in the wartorn country.

Bush told reporters that, "The question is, in the long run, will this democracy survive, and that's going to be a question for future presidents."

So after all his previous "reasons" for the Iraq war have proven bogus, I guess time will tell if the whole exercise was nothing more than wasted lives, money and effort.

Saddam was one of the few people who could keep Iraq together and silence insurgents and terrorists.

The oil spigots are still in the 'on' position so it must have been a success, no? If you watch, Bush says he is sorry that there were no WMD. Not that he is sorry for the conflict nor the associated costs in lives and money.

I hope we all realize that Iran is simply waiting until all US/coalition forces are mostly gone, before putting their people in charge of Iraq.

Bush says democracy in Iraq will last forever = arrogant American

Bush says the democratic experiment in Iraq, like all places with democracy, is never a 100% guarantee = dumb American.

    Soonet at its best.
