Tutoring Services

Anyone used one or either of the tutoring services in the Soo?Kumon or Scholars? Which would you go with for a child of nine? Which would give better value for your money? thanks

We used Kumon for almost two years. We used the math program for two kids...one that hadn't kept up in math, one that was doing well. They now EXCEL at anything they do. Someone I know who had kids in both Scholars and Kumon at different times, said Scholars couldn't even compare with Kumon.

Note: Kumon is not tutoring, the kids start where they have good knowledge, and work forward in the same program as everyone else. Challenged or gifted or average, the program is the same for all, just the time it takes for them to move through the levels is different. It's awesome.

I have heard really good things about Kumon, better than the other one. You are just confirming my decision to go with them for my daughter. thanks.
