    Default Challenge #51

Dedicated to Everywomen and her robin family....

Here is, I hope, a challenging one that will cause you to go out and think about photography and the art of story telling. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, well, this weeks challenge is to do a photo essay in 3 or less photos.

I know that traditionally, we evaluate one photo of several that we submit. To stir things up a little, let us do a series of photos to be evaluated together that tell a story, or evoke an emotion.

If you wish to find some information of photo essays, please click HERE!

Here are some examples of a small simple photo essay.

The first example is a series of action shots with a clear logical sequence that tells a story, or in this case, an important event for Algoma Steel.

    Number 5 blast furnace start:

Number 5 blast furnace going down:

    Number 5 blast furnace down:

The next two examples are of birds..sorry. They do show a montage/collage photo essay of several sequence photos combined into one.

    Shouting out.

So let us see your artifice with a camera and your yen for telling a story using photography as your tool to communicate.

There are some really good ones here. Lucky me I can't vote, as I would have a hard time choosing.

I am not merely a mass of molecules, incoherently careening through time and space. I am a child of God, destined for another world, a world before which this one pales in significance. Our spiritual preparation for the next world is to be the priority of this life.
