    Question Convert to avi

What programs are you guys using to convert to avi?
Right now I'm using Auto Gordian Knot. It's free and very easy to use, so that's good. The only thing I'm wondering about is how long it takes.
Converting a 520 MB .vob file to a 350 MB .avi file takes about 2 hours, but this is on an old XP2600 cpu and a GB or ram.
Sound about right or can you think of a program that can do it quicker?

I use WinAVI, but I never used it to start out with a .vob to make it into an .avi, but it can do it. No idea how long it'll take.

'Any Video Converter' 2 HUGE thumbs up here....I mainly use it for PSP conversions, like movies and tv shows on the go.

Here's the MAIN reasons.....It does multithreading up to 8 CPU's and it does file queue for both individual files and entire folders! Great for if you have an entire season of your favorite show in one folder to convert to your device of choice. It also supports tons of handhelds including IPod and the Zune, besides just PSP!!! But of course, DVD and avi flavours including xvid!!!

I convert large files in only minutes on a 4GHz Cpu with 4GB 1066Mhz memory, Raid 0!!
It's almost shy of ridiculous!!! I don't know if I would use my PSP half as much without it!!
