Lightbulb time off work, after Gastric Bypass?

I know every one is different, different circumstances, but I am curious how long people took off work, after their gastric bypass.

I took a week off work just to be precautionary. If you feel up to it, there is no reason why you can't go back right away unless your job requires some type of hard lifting or bending.

I took three months off some because I needed it and some because I could. RYN is a longer recovery time than MGB. But I enjoyed the time off.

i took off the week that i needed to be in bay city for the surgery. i returned to work the following week. i was a bit tired. for mgb they say you can lift or weight train as soon after as you like as there is no cutting of the muscles (not sure in rny)

Thanks for the response. I go on the 23rd for my surgery, and plan to take 6 weeks off work.
