    Default Are These 'Works'?

"For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me:

I was in prison, and ye came unto me."

37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee and hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

You can call them works if you want to.. I believe the natural outcome of a person who is genuine in his faith in Christ will have an attitude of servanthood and will want to do these things as in "loving my neigbor". Genuine faith will produce fruit or works as you call it.
If one says he has faith but there is no evidence of it , one questions the authenticity of his faith.

in prision obviously means the disobedience of the word of God... (in prision) While sick meaning "unwell"
do you think the sins of say... jeffry dahmer where simply the actions of an "unwell" person and thus welcome into heaven regardless of the actions commited in life?
