As far as I`m concerned Small Claims Court is a big laugh ...
Some years back I had Siding put on my home ..I gave the guy a large down payment ...
After the Job was done I gave the Balance of $5,000. Only to find out he gave the job to another guy who didn`t pay for any of the materials ...My lawyer told me to put it in Small Claims Court ,as I said this was some years back .....I never did get a Penny and the original guy died last year ...a very expensive lesson to learn ..Young and stupid comes to mind !!!!!!

So on what grounds did you use to take this to small claims court with? If the guy doing the job did not pay his material bill how did that affect you?

Small claims court is the way to go. It'll cost about $150 to make application and have the summons delivered, which can be recovered like NetDawg said. They can help you at the courthouse with the application, but as long as the midnight mover has an income, it can be garnisheed.

If you actually think about it for a minute I am sure this is the best place to get advice on midnight movers.
