MY antec 300

[Upper Decker]

Modded my Antec 300 for better cable management as I thought it was terrible to start with in the first place. With a few holes cut, ( I thought i did a damn good job considering im a hazard to myself) I managed to get my case temps to drop about 8 degrees. All i need to get myself are another 3 antec tricools and add a window and my case is complete.

Sorry bout the lousy pics, had to use a cellphone because batteries in my house are scarce as everything and its mother seems to run off AA's. Anyone got any input to making it better?

no mines a 300. Its a pretty decent mini gaming tower with lots of airflow. My power supply sits on the bottom actually.

Thats why i did the mod today, in anticpation of my 4870 so i can just slap it in and away i go. Cause know once i get the card the modding would take a backseat to me playing with the card lol. My temps are astounding now, 16 degrees idle, hasnt gone past 28 so far under load. Contemplating going past the 1.55v barrier,but im worried about the memory controller being able to take that kind of punishment

Need 3 fans? Do you have one in the front? Or looking to replace ones in there now? A side fan is a must (window or just cutting a hole in the side panel) once you pop a beastie gfx card in there...

I built a full pc in that tower from scratch, nice lil case for the price. Enough airflow when all 120mm fans are in.

case came with a 140mm tricool topfan, 120mm rear fan and i threw an 80mm fan on the side. I would like to put a 120mm fan on the side and 2 in the front as i imagine case temps are going to go up quite a bit as a 4870 apparently gets pretty hot.

Been a while since ive updated this. Threw in 4 x Yate Loon 120mm 47CFM fans in it yesterday.Also going to bypass that stupid paddle in the middle being as its not needed. My temps have dropped a huge amount since. Im planning on adding a block for my northbridge very soon, but Im not sure how i would go about it. Any water coolers out there that could help?

Thought Id dig up an old thread.

This is a different 300, just love these cases to death. Also you can really cram a whole lot into these bad boys ive discovered. Decided id rather use my Lamptron FC2 instead of my NZXT Sentry 2 controller. But for a 50$ case and some dremeling you cant go wrong.
