Because they are. This is the same bunch that wanted the band "Pet Shop Boys" to change thier name to "Animal shelter Boys" recently. That's a loony idea too.

PETA are nothing but a bunch of wack jobs, and their history just proves it time and time again.

again, you say they are loonies and wack jobs, yet why?

you want to look at marketing? how many people know about their issues because of their outlandish marketing? how many people talk about it, just because its so attention getting? it gets the message out there. and no mainstream tv chanel will run one of their ads, no matter how tame it is, so they make it really juicy - it gets banned, then people go and watch it to see wha its all about. they have done some great ads (i havent seen this one yet)

you really cant mean that animal abuse issues are loonie? they fight and win battles for all animals. they go undercover into research labs and meat plants and videotape what is really going on. to me that is a very brave and passionate person who is able to do that to help make things better.

Yeah, OK. So I am a cow

Today I am going to the meat packing plant.

I am coming out in refridgerated chunks.

What part of PETA's policies are going to make that "better" for me?

Why not read what PETA is really about? The founding idea was a good thing, but now its been twisted and gone completely overboard. Oh ya and heres a bit of reading to the hypocracy of PETA.

You have got to be joking Kitca. Are you sure you know their history?

Do you think throwing blood on people's fur coats normal?
Do you think putting naked females in cages on street corners dressed as animals normal?
Do you know anything about the Earth Liberation Front and Animal Liberation Front? Don't tell me PETA members have nothing to do with them. I won't believe you.
Do you know that PETA euthanizes more animals..in the name of saving them..then most human societies. Not sure how they can go about animal rights..and the moment animals are turned over to them...they kill them...and dump them unceremoniously in dumpsters. I already knew about that article. I have been aware of this for several years now. There is nothing good about PETA. It’s all fluff and hot air.

although I don't really have an opinion either way on PETA, I just had to pint this sentence out

animals don't need liberation, they are animals.
    what animals need is respect.
PETA is a terrible and mutated monster of what its intentions were.
I would not associate with a PETA member.

You like that sentence didn’t you? Didn't figure I had to spell the meaning of it to you..but here goes.....

Dressed as in painted. You can be dressed as an animal and still be naked. You would be amazed at what a pair of ears and a little paint can do for a nut in a cage that doesn't want to wear any clothing for shock value.

T-Pot...I can and did. You want to see naked chicks..go see some porn. Not some misguided animal activist who thinks she (note how it always seems to be females) needs to use her body as some billboard to espouse a message...like all the evils of this world are due to men...because most of their messages Including this commercial for example, are aimed squarely at men or lesbians, and we all know which is the larger demographics between the two.

of course i have seen the site 'peta kills animals'. i sure dont take it at face value. i dont know if it is true or not, i havent bothered to research it, though i lean towards a hate campaign against them, again, i dont know for sure.

there is a big difference between normal and wack job/loonie. i think what they do gets lots of attention and that is what is needed, lots of attention. does anyone even know about the other animal organizations and what they are doing? and sadly most dont even care. at least they get the message out there. probably not, but everyone knows about peta and what they do. the other groups have not made the strides that peta has made either, because of petas extreme methods.

even if you dont care how horribly your meat is transported and killed it can still affect you. you are still ingesting the fear hormones from those animals. although most of the top dogs at peta are vegitarians, they are trying for better treatment of animals inside the factory farms and slaughterhouses. how is that wack?

i dont support everything that peta does, but i do support most of it. i think alot of loonie things are just blamed on peta when peta has nothing to do with it and it perpetuates (sp?) the myth. have any of you bothered to go to their website?
