    Default Question????

I didnt trim my Peony down to the ground in the fall.
So my question is can I do it now that spring is here? And how low do I cut them down?
Or will it grow again like it did last year?

I noticed this morning that beside where my peony is theres a small, swollen,, thing coming up out of the ground, could this be another peony coming up? Or????

I didnt do anything to it last year cuz I didnt know what it was...lol..

    And also another question...
What about my sunflowers? I planted seeds last year and they grew HUGE...lol..I didnt cut them down or anything, didnt cut the heads off either.
So do I cut the stalks down or leave them alone and they'll bloom again?

    Thanks for any answers

your sunflower will not bloom again, they are annuals, how ever if some seeds fell out of the ehad, they will grow..so yank the old sunflower right out, should come out relatively easy.the peony, i dont know sorry, call up new north green houses, they are the best they can answer that

peony dies right down to the ground every year, so you dont have to cut it down. you may just want to pull away the dead stalks. the swollen thing is probably the new shoots coming up. peony will stay and just keep getting bigger and bigger, they live 50-75+ years. their only fussiness is that they have not too much soil on top of them, they wont bloom if planted too deep.
