Same old, same old. Some are rebels and some are sweethearts.

you can blame your generation for not raising them right.
Aut Viam Inveniam Aut Faciam, which means "Either I will find a way or I will make one."
be nice. it is teh teen of today that pays the tax and cpp of tomorrow... unless they are in jail. then they are pretty much useless.
no im just commenting.. i know of some that just put up this gangster "persona" just to have a harsh reputation amongst their friends... as such they are being fake not their true self.... is it cause they live on their own or such, is that why they toughen up or are they just a bunch of fakes.. i think theyre just fakes
i dont' think soonet should accept any new members for a year .. maybe that will be the only way to keep moochie off this board.

What does sexual orientation have to do with anything?
Believe it or not, some teens have just been raised in pretty crappy homes and seen pretty crappy things far younger than anyone should have to. If drugs, alcohol, swearing and disrespect are all they see, what chance do they have of being any different? Kids are largely a product of their environment and home environment wins out over school environment most of the time. It is the rare child that can grow up in a violent & largely loveless home and come out of it in one piece.

oh and on the subject of being fake...i always find that people who are obsessed with what other's look like or act like all the time are the real fakes and are the ones with insecurity issues...always pointng out other people's flaws but never their own..so hypocritical and so fake...maybe that person you are talking about is beyond living in fear and is totally secure and knows who he or she is, therefore radiating confidence in themselves by strutting their stuff. Confidence makes you think and feel like the king or queen of the world so why not show it?
It's unfair to paint all teens with the same brush. There teens that do need to smarten up, but also a lot of teens with a good attitude. It's not just teens either, you can say the same thing about a lot of adults out there.

Lot of teens who are out of control don't have a strong father figure in their life
They think they are invincible because they are. Untill they are 18 they have something held against them. They can do whatever they want, and get a free ticket as long as they are a young offender.
They break into your cars, jump other kids, steal, and other stuff, because they can!
** Please note, not all teens do this.

No, because they only have to donate $10 and write an essay. I think it's like 8 times before they are even thought of going to juevy. (sp).
Look at the ones assaulting police officers, because they know, nothing will happen!

It's just you......to a degree. Teenagers have thought they were invincible for eons. Did you never watch the television documentary about the teenage brain? The scans showing the differences in brain activity at different ages was amazing. Teenage brains do NOT work like a child's or an adult's and it's all part of the maturation process. Having said that, I DO find more kids are less polite and respectful than in the past and I figure that is the fault of the parents and school systems who have made the kids believe they are the centre of the universe. Too much there is no consequence for their actions....indeed, they are told "it wasn't your fault". In the name of self-esteem, kids are not taught how to lose.....everybody gets a ribbon.
Teenagers don't become "rappy" and disrespectful on their own. It all starts at home so the "blame" belongs with the adults who raised them.
