Default the things that mean more then a thank you

does anyone have anything they would like to share?

I do, tonight a friend and her husband stopped in for just a few seconds, well this friend is someone who I have a great relationship with but more so over the computer as they live out of town so to speak, she is always thinking of me, well awhile ago she asked me if I could find a "mater" truck,*diecast* car if I had found one could I pick it up as I shop across the river frequently and she could not find one for her little girl,

well tonight rolls around and I have been looking non stop for a simple diecast mater for her daughter who loves cars.. I CANNOT find one from here to Boyne Mich. LOL except ebay. anyways

I went through my sons toys as they have LOADS of cars stuff, found 3 of triples they had..

SO I run out to the truck and placed them in the little girls lap.. HER eyes were so bright the biggest smile and the smallest thank you!! the look on her face was enough!!!!!!

every time I see this little girl I love her more each day just like she was my own!! but tonight to see the appreciation in giving her 3 mater's MADE MY WHOLE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This little girl has tones of toys as does my boys but its the simple things that are hard to find and the gratitude out of her little face and eyes was just beyond words..

SORRY had to share, anyone else have any great story's to share?

It took me a year to find a Mater car for my son. Gave it to him for his birthday and his brother stepped on it accidentally and broke it the same day.

'Santa' brought him a dinoco helicopter for Christmas... it comes with Mater If all else fails, buy the helicopter, Mater is removable.

go to value Village and look in the little bags they have made up in the toy section.
we got our maters from the McDonalds happy meals, lots of McD's toys in those bags at VV, you might get lucky.
they are plastic tho not die cast but they are a good sized truck for little hands.

I bought a $20 lego set from Walmart for Christimas that had pieces that build Lightning McQueen, Miss Sally, Mater, and Doc, plus a bunch of extra desert type pieces, some road signs, etc. Since the gift was for my 2 year old, I bought crazy glue, and glued all the car pieces together. So they're not diecast, but they are 3-4" plastic cars, and got the majority of the main characters for a great price. The pieces were way too small and were getting lost anyway, and he was too young to even understand that they made up the Cars characters.

maters are very hard to find, in anything I have looked thats forsure, as for my boys, they have tones and tones of cars Items, I have the set you are speeking of jackie, I have 4 of the lighting cars, 4 of the maters in that set, We have bought extra sets to add to it, my children even have screamin banshee!! etc, so they will never notice the maters missing!!!!! that is forsure it was the oh and the big bright eyes that made it so worth while, know how hard they are to find now.
