Here's a couple more from our weekend out at the cottage. There's a waterfall up at the end of the lake, this year with all the rain it's flowing pretty good! (Last year it was pretty dry). It has one deep pool in the middle of it, over 5' deep.

I can't get over how much water is up there now. Last time we were up there we sat where your son (in the red trunks) is standing and had a picnic! LOL!

I think I'll be heading up there soon.

We usually take the canoe to that spot, but lately we've been trying to get to it on the 4-wheelers (from the trail behind). Have you ever done that? CAN you do that?

I know it's wild how much water there is eh??? Haven't seen it like that in years!

Hubby says you can get pretty dam close to the top of the falls on 4-wheeler. There's a trail that runs along up top, by the big old beaver house, said stick to the left (or right, if coming from your way I think). The trail comes to about 200 feet from the the top of the falls. If you see the old dried up beaver house your on the right track. And with the amount of water gushing right now you'd be sure to hear them from up there.

Beware....it's cold...but extremely refreshing!!!

Note of caution though....Hubby was going to come in too but as he was walking around to the other side of the pool there is one huge rock that looks like it broke away from the rest and is just sitting there, he figures with the pressure from all that water it won't be there much longer. (If and when it breaks away it'll probably go right in the deep pool). We got out after he noticed that, hopefully it'll break away when nobody is enjoying the falls.

Him and the boys ventured further up to the top, said it looked safer up there but no deep pools like the one we were in.

Great pictures! The one with your daughter sitting peacefully on the rocks while the water swirls around and rushes behind her. Is terrific!

LOL...don't let her sweet and innocent looks fool you....she was pulling the moss off the rocks and throwing it at her brothers! LOL...
