Hi, I just got home from the vets office. They ran blood work - cause he had a fever, and checked him over completely. Thankfully its not Pancreatitus, althought that was one of the things that he was concerned about.
Hes got (as far as anyone can tell) gastritius, hes got medication to help with the vomitting and something for the pain (cramping) as well as a bag of food thats supposed to be extremely digestable.
So heres hoping that this works. I have to admit I feel better, Murph doesnt' yet but at least one of us does.
Thanks for caring guys! I appreciate the good thoughts, and so does Murphy.

Hes much better this morning. The medication that the vet gave us stopped the vomiting and gaging almost immediately. Hes eaten this morning and is much more like himself. Yipeee

Our border collie Max had this a few weeks ago. The difference was that he was over 14 years old. He had this panting but was eating well and pooping. The next day though he became lethargic and was breathing weird so I called our vet Dr. Gunam on Trunk Rd. and said my dog looked lethargic and like a rag doll with weird breathing, so he looked at him that afternoon. Sadly, it was too late for Max as he was almost gone when we got there. He was quite elderly. It was his heart so you should go see a vet who has the time to squeeze you in.

Awe I'm so sorry to hear about your Max.

I knew he needed to be seen he was so not himself. Thankfully the medication they gave him worked quickly. He's back to his old happy, Lazy self.

I am so happy for your dog that he is back to his normal self. It must be a big relief. I had replied to your post before noticing there was a second page and you had already brought him to the vet. Our Max was quite elderly so it was a different type of situation, but he was still in really good shape right to the end, and wrestled with is buddy two days before he died. It was the panting that concerned us but we knew he was quite old. He might have been older, say 15 because when I adopted him over 12 years ago, he was already an adult dog. We got him from the shelter here and he has been the best dog ever, never sick, never a worry with Max. They originally found him running on the highway. He even liked my cats. My black cat Priscilla really misses him and shadowed him lots the past month.
