Bell vs. Telus (Cell Service in Goulais)

Currently debating between a Bell or Telus cell phone (plan not Pay As You Go). I am out at Goulais a lot and was just wondering which company has the better service up there. If anyone uses either company and could give me some feedback on which one works better it would be appreciated.

Both companies share towers...so reception would be the same. You just have to decide who has the better plan/phone for you.

I'm with Virgin and I get service out there. My man is with rogers. he does not

No service past the Heyden area, if not before, if you are with Rogers. I went with Telus for this reason alone..

W hen my son goes out to Goulais to the camp off of Pine Shores Rd. I can talk to him. But his cell is with Hendersons and used only for emergencies.

We use Bell, and it works in some areas of Goulais just fine, dead zone in others. It depends where you are at the time you want to use it.

Bell works fine in Goulais...I have always had Bell cell service. And when I lived in Goulais it worked ok. There are dead zones in Goulais so every cell company would have the same problem. Its hard to cover 100% of the Goulais area because of the large hills. But for the most part its about 50 to 60% covered.

Virgin = Bell. They used to just rent the lines/air space from Bell, but now Bell is buying them out.

Im with bell mobility and had service last year camping at pancake...think rogers dies around fourth line and telus no idea

we have had no problems with telus, but we did with bell. much prefer telus.
