I hear thunder also, the sky looks very dark.

I was outside when I heard a super loud series of cracks from a piercing white light seconds earlier.

Last night lightning stuck right outside of my house. There was less than a second of a pause between the flash and the huge boom. It shook my whole house, set off a car alarm, and caused 3 children to shmoozle their way into my bed. LOL
I am not merely a mass of molecules, incoherently careening through time and space. I am a child of God, destined for another world, a world before which this one pales in significance. Our spiritual preparation for the next world is to be the priority of this life.

we just had a crazy lightning storm just now on my way home from jasper.

i swear the storms are more severe out here & the lightning is VERY up close.

it bet its cuz we are at a higher elevation &, therefore, clouds closer..hmmm??

Yeah the Sault is naturally protected from most of the storms that develop around here. Blame it on Lake Superior. The coolness of the lack cuts off the heat energy storms need to continue..once the storms arrive here, they lose that energy and regain it once the system travels over the heat of the earth again, which is why the storms get bigger once they move east of here. I'm not saying that we won't ever see big storms, but for the most part that is what happens.

I was fishing near Bruce Mines and seen lots of lightning and heard lots of thunder. Thank goodness it went all around us for the most part, but it was VERY close.

Might just get your wish later tonight, if this guy is right.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> Tuesday 5:46am

A cold front will push dangerous storms into the region this
afternoon. Today will start our warm and sunny, this will
provide the energy needed to form strong storms later this
afternoon. The storms should form in the late afternoon for
the Sault/Wawa regions and early evening for Elliot
    Lake/Manitoulin regions.
The main threat with these storms will be strong straight line
winds and downbursts that could exceed 100km/h. There will
also be very heavy downpours and dangerous lightning.
Cooler air moves in for the rest of the week, behind this cold
    front.
I will be updating storms development and locations this
    afternoon...
