I found this article on CNN about a Saudi family taking what they call a genie to court. It seems they have been having ongoing issues. I have to admit, I don't exactly understand how it's turned into a court case.

"The lawsuit filed in Shariah court accuses the genie of leaving them threatening voicemails, stealing their cell phones and hurling rocks at them when they leave their house at night, said Al-Watan newspaper."
