Ok....so my life is wonderful. Here's my biggest issue really.

What's the deal with 12 hotdogs in a pkg and hot dog BUNS with only 8 per pkg??

Seriously?? Haven't they wiener people and the bun people gotten together yet to figure this out?? Am I supposed to double up hot dogs to use up those last two buns....or am I supposed to buy 2 bags of buns only to be left with 6 buns and no dogs?

These are the things that keep me awake at night.

I found a solution to this problem, i go to romes and go to the bulk bins and get the hot dog buns from there.

Buy three packs of buns and two of the wiener's, problem solved. That is assuming you can force the family to devour twenty four hot friggin' dogs.

hot dogs do come in packs of 8,and buns also come in 12s

Biggest reason is that hotdog bun makers, and hot dog makers aren't the same company. It's marketing. Bun makers know most hotdogs come in 12, so they put 8 (Nice even number in) to make you buy more.

Look harder when you shop! You can buy hotdogs that come 8 in a pack and you can also buy hotdog buns that come 12 in a pack. Co-ordinate your efforts and all will be right with the world.

Oh, and buy hamburgers. The buns still come in 12's but you can get the store made in 4 packs.

What enters the mix is not bad. It's not healthy but it's not bad. it's what it looks like in the interim that is disconcerting. As for eating them, love 'em. I prefer mine dry cooked (not boiled) with toasted buns though.
