Yes I understand a business needs to make money.
But, its my choice and your choice to shop in the U.S.
I like saving money, I also believe many companys in canada charge too much. My point made.

Agree with you 100%. I usually do my shopping across the river wheather in Soo Mich/Traverse City/ Birch run.
Have a Great Day!
The article doesn't even mention shopping in the U.S. It's about how the strong dollar has a negative effect on businesses (ask St. Mary's Paper about that one) and how, even though it's hurting alot of businesses they don't want the government to interfere. Sounds good to me.

How do you help bring down the costs? By dealing with people who will do it cheaper even if they do it on the side . However there are people in this town like YOU who will make it hard for the little guy to make any extra cash, like that guy who works on cars near Pim and Wellington that you started the thread about.
Don't break the law or I'll tell, and I won't support you if you follow the rules either. [censored] You little business guy.
This annoys me as well. We agree on something.
To punish me for my contempt of authority, Fate has made me an authority myself.
I was looking for furniture covers here in the Sault and just one for my couch alone was going to cost me 139.99 plus tax. I got couch, loveseat, wingback chair and ottoman covers for a grand total of 140.00 US including shipping costs and the exact same items I was looking at buying from Sears. Same brand, manufacturer, the works. For savings like that, I will shop where I need too.
And I paid 11.00 duty on 185.00 of product.
Hey, why dont i open an illegal bar in my house.
Why not, its my right, is it?
See how long that lasts?
Better still!
Anyone who lives near a legal garage should open an illegal garage.
Why not, the little guy needs to get ahead.
How long does that last?
There are enough people like me who don't cross border shop simply because it's not convenient. I'm sure that the population that live in border communities that shop in the U.S. are a very small percentage of contributors to the Canadian ecomomy. Wanna blame someone? Blame the internet for making online shopping in ANY country far too easy. When I order online, I try to find a Canadian site first, then I look elsewhere.
I find which is cheaper.
I don't care if its a local shop or somewhere in BC, if the receipt of sale is cheaper, i'm going there.

They better not because twits will start all kinds of threads whimpering about them.
Can anyone start sing the American national anthem in Canada, sooner or later we will become american persons taken over by what they call a hostile business take over in which the USA has a great big foot hold inot our country already when it comes to businesses and to add to that the USA has screwed us over for years when it comes to prices on same products you can buy in either country. The USA looks out for itself first before giving one inch to other countries like Canada.
Buy where ever you wish to do so to save money or if it is not much of a difference in price. Then buy in canada, BUT buy from a canadian company in canada not one owned buy Americans.
I got lost in the run on sentence, what was that again?
Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
LMAO!!!
Qait...Here's OURS!!!!!!!!!!
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
There that's better
As long as there's still life in me
No matter what...remember
You know I'll always come for you

I tried to make out what he was saying but all I got was a headache.
He lost me after "Can anyone start sing".
I honestly should just put him on my ignore list as trying to figure out what hes saying is a long slow pain. Once you do figure it out it makes no sense what so ever in the real world. Might be great on whatever planet he's on but not here.
