Strange dreams

Who else here believes in the belief of sex with demons, whether that be Incubus (male) or succubus (female) Many a times I find myself immersed in a dream or such where i am locked down and it just feels weird like I wanna get out of it my adrenalines pumping, but I just cant escape it until I see it or view it. Speaking fo whichm I just had one earlier tonight... but this time I got a look at the culprit... it was an old haggy ugly female fat succubus... on top of me from what I remember.. yes you can say this is folklore but I think there is some truth to it

The only thing I see that could be the reason is the irregular sleeping patterns

I have an occasional bout with sleep paralysis. It happens if I go to sleep on my back, or if I am dealing with very high stress situations. Nothing sexual. I just feel like I am awake, but cannot break free, and a feeling of irrational terror.. raw emotion. I usually wake up with the hair on the back of my neck standing, up.

Used to think it was demon induced, because of the fear and a strong sense of an evil presence. I guess that is why they are called night terrors. Now I am not so sure.
My father had it as well, so I think it may be genetic.

i used to get those often too. it would be like someone evil was in the room with me or some other terrifying thing. one time it was a giant spider that was hanging over my daughters crib and she was screaming but i could only watch, i wasn't able to get up to get her. it's been a long time now since that's happened, maybe because i don't sleep on my back anymore. my uncle told me if it happens and you realize it just say to yourself 'your dreaming, wake up'. sounds simple but it worked

i once had a dream that i was being attacked & smothered by a giant marshmallow man.
the only way to escape was to eat thru him.
when i finally woke up, i couldn't find my pillow anywhere!

This used to happen to me too.. Its extremly terrifiing going through it. I used to sleep with the lights on because of the fear. I thought i was going crazy until I heard others discussing this one day and then did not feel so alone "crazy". This was many years ago, but i remember the feeling vividly

You got that right, It was something i wanted to escape but couldnt until the climax or when I see the thing I was afraid of

I used to get sleep paralysis all the time.
I can wake myself up from it now, though, but usually once I get it, I get it repeatedly throughout that night.

How is it possible for your brain to be awake but your body is still sleeping?
