I always used vodka. Then you are only getting they taste of the jello. I've never had any complaints!

Vodka will go with all of them, but whoever/whomever (too tired for grammar, not sure which is correct) told you that coconut rum would go well with the orange-pineapple was bang on! They are really really good!!
I've had malibu rum with cherry or raspberry (it was red lol) -- and it was my favourite!!!!
