Ya, they are not doing too well. Still early yet, but I hope they win at least one. Detroit Redwings are not looking like a Stanely Cup finalist either.

So is bringing up the number of cups won in the past. The way they are carrying on it will be another millennium before they win again. I guess that is what happens when you plan the Stanley Cup parade before the season starts. But on the up side is the fact that if they keep it up their fans won't get their hearts broken at the end of the season as reality "should" sink in long before then. Also I know of at least one team is looking forward to using the Leafs first draft choice as it should be a great one.

I think there is a deal coming up for the leafs. Maybe Burke will bring in Shanny for some good leadership and secondary scoring.

Once Kessel is playing, I say bring up Tlusty too. 40+ assists on the Marlies last year, mostly the second half of the season, isn't too bad at all. He might find a good chemistry with Kessel. The season is still young, a lot can happen in 70+ games. I'm not counting any team in or out of the playoffs yet.

I understand the Leafs are a long shot for the playoffs. If being a true fan is hoping my team gets the best season possible, regardless of the current standings, then I am happy to be a true fan. Rather be a true fan and have a team to follow rather than be a bandwagon fan and just pick a team that is a cup favorite every year like so many people do.

I heard somewhere that the cup to the leafs is like a prostate exam.. they're just putting it off another year. It is a realistic time frame you know, because as long as the earth is spinning on it's axis, there will always be next year.

Seriously though, you never know. There's still tons of hockey left in the season. I haven't given up yet, call it blind faith if you like but you never know...

We don't have to look like one every year. You may want to try and look like one every half-century, though.

Shows how stupid people in Toronto are.

I was at the Caps/Wings a few weekends ago. Sure not many empty seats.

How is that Cup drought treatin' you??

I was watching a Pens game about a week ago and noticed Gonchar. He is fun to watch, and is easily one of the best offensive D-men in the league. I think he is a bit underrated too. I wish the Leafs would have kept Anton Stralman.. I think he's going to turn out to be Gonchar like.

Hockey 'fans' that know very little about the game are the most notorious bandwagon jumpers.

It makes perfect sense you are a Pens fan.
