Ok . Here is the situation.

My 17 year old in his ultimate wizdom decided to load Ubuntu onto his laptop during the install he accidentally closed the lid and it stopped whatever it was doing mid way. Now he cannot do anything with the laptop it will not even boot to disk.

Anyone out there know how to fix this paperweight?

Get a linux boot disk on usb then reformat the drive and try a fresh install.
