We only give treats that are wrapped up at the factory. Chips, choc bars etc.

Wow what a bunch of goofs. How could someone do that to a child. There are Some sick people out there. That is so sad though, poor kids fun is ruined by a bunch of losers trying to harm them.
We went in my Inlaws neighbour hood, everyone know everyone and they all grew up together for the past 40 some yrs. I still checked everything of course.
A friend of mine found as lighter in her daughter bag of candy, we hoped that it was a accident where someone was going to light a candle, smoke whatever and heard a knock grabbed candy with the hand the lighter was in and it got thrown in the bag by accident.

Hell in a handbasket... That is terrible.
I think more often than not, parents are better off holding some nice little parties and stuff for the kids get some candy, movies, chips and pop.. make some caramel apples and just invite friends over, they get their sugar fix, get to dress up, and watch scary movies The crap that goes on is sick.
